Lost Debit Card or Mobile Device

Losing your debit card or mobile device can be unsettling. Not only is it inconvenient and potentially expensive, but it’s natural to worry about the safety of your financial information. At F&M Bank, we’ll do our best to help you secure your data.

Lost or Stolen Card

If you have lost your F&M Bank Debit Card you can report the loss through the Mobile App, Online Banking or F&M Bank's Telebanking system. When you report a card as lost or stolen, you will no longer be able to manage the card from the Mobile App.

If you think you may find your debit card, consider only temporarily suspending the card.

  • Select Accounts > [Account Name] > Card Management.
  • Select the appropriate card.
  • Select Report Lost/Stolen.
  • Select Card Lost or Card Stolen
Please contact us if you find your lost card.

Temporarily Suspend your Card

Suspending your card prevents purchases, withdrawals or transfers. It’s an ideal way to secure your account for any reason. Our Card Management tools make is easy to activate and deactivate your F&M Bank Debit Card.

  1. Select Accounts > [Account Name] >Card Management.
  2. Select the appropriate card.
  3. Select the toggle next to the card name to deactivate/lock the card temporarily.
    1. Once you locate your card, simply toggle next to the card again to activate/unlock the card.

Lost Mobile Device

If your smartphone or tablet is lost or stolen, contact your wireless service provider to have your device deactivated. But because most of us leave traces of our financial lives on our devices, we also recommend you deactivate the device via F&M’s Online Banking or Mobile App.
  • Log into Online Banking or the Mobile App.
  • Select the main menu (on the App). The main menu will automatically appear in the sidebar within Online Banking.
  • Click or tap on your name.
  • Select Settings > Security > Recently used devices.
  • You can then do the following:
    • Select the individual device if you want to view the device information such as model, operating system and app version.
    • Select Remove next to the appropriate device to deauthorize it.
The good news: in order to access any account information through the F&M Bank Mobile App, you must enter your password or use Touch ID®/Face ID® every time you open it. If your device is lost or stolen, no one can access your App without your username and password. The ultimate defense—not to mention an easy way for you to log in—is Touch ID or Face ID, a technology that reads your fingerprint or has facial recognition software, on your iPhone or iPad, rather than relying on a password.
