Rowan County United Way Day of Caring 2026
This year's Rowan County United Way Day of Caring sent the F&M Bank team somewhere a little different: Happy's Farm, the western-themed nonprofit that Rhonda Stirewalt Roseman founded in 2007. The team split into two projects for the day, spreading and lining pathways with river rock and giving two totem poles on the property a fresh coat of paint. F&M Bank is a longtime supporter of Happy's Farm, which made this year's project feel like the perfect fit.
"The opportunity to combine that history with our bank with Day of Caring and United Way was a very logical opportunity, and we were fortunate to have really good folks who love doing this type of work," said F&M Bank Chairman & CEO Steve Fisher.
F&M Bank was joined by longtime Day of Caring partner Furr's Lawn Care and Maintenance, along with volunteers from The Carolina Artists guild, who mixed paint and kept brushes clean throughout the day.
