OVERVIEW BENEFITS CHIP Technology FAQS AUTOMATIC BILLING UPDATER

Why are you replacing my existing card?

Your new F&M Bank Debit Mastercard will help us to serve you better by providing you with added benefits you can use every day.

Is there any cost to me?

No, your new card will have no annual fee, just like the card it replaces.

Will my PIN remain the same?

All you have to do is complete an ATM transaction or a Point of Sale (debit) transaction. The four numbers you key will be your new PIN.

Why will my new card contain a microchip?

F&M Bank is moving to chip technology because it provides more security and ease of use in other countries and has become standard in the U.S.

How do I activate my new card?

When your card arrives, simply:

  • Call the number on the label attached to your new card (1-844-499-7694) to activate, visit our Mobile App or login to Online Banking.
  • Sign the back.
  • Destroy your old card.

It is important to contact any merchants who automatically debit your existing card to provide your new card number. For select merchants, your debit may automatically transfer to your new card.

Who can tell me more?

If you have other questions, please contact one of our convenient F&M locations.

If I have multiple accounts, will each account receive a new card?

Yes. Each personal checking account with a Visa® debit card linked to it will be reissued a new F&M Bank Debit Mastercard.

If I receive more than one card, how will I be able to tell which checking account it is linked to?

Simply contact one of our convenient F&M locations. A representative will be happy to assist you.

Isn't Visa accepted at more places than Mastercard?

The two are widely accepted in over 200 countries and it is very rare to find a location that will accept one but not the other.
